The PR Multicultural Committee

For over 30 years, the Pelican Rapids Multicultural Committee has been connecting people, building bridges between cultures, and celebrating cultures. We are a 501c3 and can only exist with support from people like you.

There have been many projects and initiatives in the past 30+ years. Just to mention a few projects: the annual International Friendship Festival, the MCC Diversity Dinners, film series, speakers for the schools, and other projects that unify.

History

The Pelican Rapids Multicultural Committee (MCC) formed in 1993.

After over 10 years of connecting people and celebrating diversity, the MCC became a 501c3 organization in 2004.

We support the full development and contribution of each person by affirming our diversity.

We believe that our community can be enriched by diversity not only in age, skills, educational, and religious affiliations but also in cultural heritage.

The organization promotes cultural awareness and fosters respect, appreciation, and understanding that crosses cultural barriers by providing opportunities for dialogue, learning, sharing, and socializing through art, music, and food.
